About this app

The latest addition to our TechBurner ecosystem will help you get control of your data privacy by keeping a check on the apps installed in your Android device.

Why Install Guard?

Manually-Curated Databases: Our team of experts thoroughly tests hundreds of apps and curates the permissions they really need.

Minimal Categorization: The app divides apps into 3 easy-to-understand, to-the-point categories – Safe, Extra, and Risky – on the basis of the permissions they ask you to grant. These will tell you exactly how much of a risk an application poses to your data.

Clutter-Free UI: View only what you want to see. With our light-themed, clean, and user-centric app interface, things are laid down neatly for you to solidify your privacy.

Scan System Apps: With the increasing threats to data from several new parties, including phone manufacturers, it is important to be aware of the software that is irrevocably tied to your phone. As a smart user, you should be vigilant abput system apps too – we seek to make your job easier.

100% Secure: Guard NEVER records any data for malicious purposes. You are completely in charge of your phone.

Privacy Indicator: Due to growing privacy concerns about third-party apps and how often our camera or microphone is utilised. When an app accesses these features on your phone, Privacy Indicator attempts to fix the problem by displaying a little indicator on the screen. Burner Guard activates the Privacy Indicator feature by using the AccessibilityService API. With the aid of the AccessibilityService API, a Privacy Indicator is displayed on screen over every programme and screen, keeping track of permissions like Mic, Camera, or Location utilised by other third-party apps. When Burner Guard is closed or in the background, AccessibilityServiceAPI aids in the use of this feature.

Bulk Uninstall: Uninstall junk apps using our Bulk Uninstaller easily.

Logger: BurnerGuard comes with a custom-made background service to keep track of permissions when you grant or deny them to an app. Now you can easily track the explicit data your phone shares with applications and can revoke unnecessary permissions whenever you feel like, with just a couple clicks.

That is not all! Our team is working hard around the clock to incorporate many new security- and privacy-related features. We are determined to enable for our users a minimal experience without pesky bloatware or privacy breaches.

First thing when starting app, it asks you to press start button to start app, why? Starts scanning straight away without asking, so you can't change settings (light/dark - system apps), when finished scanning, if you press one of the three buttons to see the results, the app closes to the home screen. So you do not get to see what it has found. Don't waste your time going to their website from play store, there is nothing there about the app, which will help you.

An amazing app, it shows you that YOU are in control. And I see no ads as of now ,Which makes it have a great UX. I trust the developers but My personal suggestion is to make it FOSS(I couldn't find a mention that it was FOSS), since you do not collect any data or dont seem to make any money off of it. The FOSS tag increases the credibility to a great extent. All in all it is a great app, definitely worth a try.

The app is pretty good with my usage, but 1) First thing this app is missing dark mode. The application interface is too much bright (Not bad looking). 2) Whenever the app list is more than 100+, after a scan the "Extra" & "Safe" list is failed to open or takes long long time. I will add my experiences with every app updates. By the way very useful & unique application. Keep it up.
